BOOLEAN OBJECTS (second example)

1. BOOLEAN INTERSECTION :

With boolean intersection you can create many kinds of basic objects. Here is just a simple example to show how it works.

In DAYTIME choose AIR SHOW atmosphere.

To have a better lightening of the object we will create, let's change the sun first.

Click in the toolbar at the sun.

In the new window, click at the sun tab

Then change pitch and azimuth of the sun like shown here. Klick OK.

Create a SPHERE and leave it where it is. Create a CONE.

This is, how it looks like.

In boolean intersection, only the "solid" part of the object will be conserved. "Solid" is, in this case, the part wich is composed from the sphere AND the cone. Not "solid" are the parts I colored in yellow here to make it easier to understand.

Select in the world browser SPHERE AND CONE

Now click at BOOLEAN INTERSECTION in the left toolbar.

Choose a material for your boolean intersection (I took green color from the basic materials). Render your image. (And try it with other primitives).
